Motorsport History
Bob Jane T-Marts was founded on Bob Jane's successful motor Racing career, particularly with the inaugural race held at Bathurst. This race was held in 1963 and was won by Bob Jane and co-driver Harry Firth in their Ford Cortina GT. This was the third consecutive year the duo had won the Armstrong 500. The previous two victories of the Armstrong 500 were at Phillip Island in 1961 and 1962. In 1964, Bob Jane joined forces with George Reynolds to again win at Bathurst in another Ford Cortina GT.
These victories were all an important part of Bob Jane's illustrious racing career which saw him finish on the podium 21 times from 38 Touring Car race starts. His racing achievements have seen him become an icon of the Australian motorsport industry and a member of the Motorsport Hall of Fame.
In the history of Australian Touring Car Championships Bob Jane remains in the top ten for the highest number of Touring Car race wins. His record of eight victories during the 1972 season has only been surpassed by a handful of drivers while Bob Jane's pole position record still finds him within the all time top 10. With consecutive victories in 1962/63 and 1971/72, Bob Jane is a member of an elite group of drivers who have managed to win the Australian Touring Car Championship more than twice and is second overall in consecutive title wins - a record that stands to this day.

The racing legend continues
In true family tradition, Rodney Jane has inherited more than his father's head for business; he also displays a strong passion for motor racing. By the age of 20 he was racing his first AUSCAR at the Calder Park Thunderdome and, in the space of just six years, gained numerous victories and titles in AUSCAR, Legends and 700 horsepower NASCAR categories, proving himself to be a tough competitor. From 2003, until the cancellation of the series in 2009, Rodney has been behind the wheel of the competitive number 7 GT3 Porsche (a number his father made famous) in the Carrera Cup Series. And all this, whilst still maintaining the typical Jane, hands-on business leadership required of the company's CEO.
