It is aimed at drivers who want a comfortable, predictable tyre for sealed roads rather than anything sporty or off-road. We currently offer the E70GZ online in 225/60R17 with a 99H load and speed rating.

An E70 for crossovers

The E70 family is known for its focus on low noise, ride comfort and wet traction, and Yokohama Australia includes the 225/60R17 99H size in its E70 dB range. The GZ letters identify a specific build of that pattern. On the road, that means steady behaviour, a settled ride and confidence on wet bitumen for normal daily use.

What 225/60R17 99H means for you

The 225 figure is the section width in millimetres, 60 is the sidewall height as a percentage of that width, and 17 is the rim diameter in inches. The 99 load index allows up to 775 kilograms per tyre, and the H speed symbol covers well beyond Australian speed limits. Always match or exceed the load index and speed rating on your tyre placard.

That tall 60-profile sidewall helps soak up potholes, speed humps and rough country bitumen, which suits the higher-riding crossovers this size is commonly fitted to.

Is it the right tyre for your crossover?

This is a road tyre in the everyday driving mould. Comfort, quiet running and wet-road grip are the core strengths of the E70 family, which suits long highway drives and regional travel on sealed roads. The trade-off is limited ability away from the bitumen: it is not designed for loose gravel, mud or snow, so drivers who regularly leave sealed roads should consider a tougher SUV pattern.

The Yokohama BluEarth E70GZ is an original-equipment passenger touring tyre developed for a crossover factory application, with comfort and predictable everyday road behaviour as its main priorities.
