Max Vidau joins Porsche Michelin GT3 Cup Challenge

We are proud to announce 2018 will see Bob Jane T-Marts also support junior development racing in Australia in the form of young Max Vidau. Max will be hitting the track to complete in the Porsche Michelin GT3 Cup Challenge.

Sonic Motor Racing Services founder Michael Ritter says “it’s exciting to see such a great brand be associated with a junior development program in Australia and Sonic is proud to be a part of it. Not only is it a great opportunity for Max who is a very talented young driver but also for the T-Marts brand”.

Despite Max only about to turn 17, his resume is impressive. He stared racing Dirt Karts at the age of 7 and by the time he was 14 he was under the experienced tutelage of Sonic and became the 2016 Victorian Formula Ford Champion. 2017 saw his success continue and Max was crowned the Australian Formula Ford Champion!

Max says “I’m so excited to be competing in Porsche Michelin GT3 Cup Challenge this season and to be representing such iconic names in motorsport once again with Bob Jane T Marts and Sonic Motor Racing Services. I hope to continue my success after a solid season for the Australian Formula Ford last year. I have to thank everyone at Bob Jane T Marts for their hard work and for providing me with this opportunity to learn as much as possible in this class and to further my dreams”

The first round of the 2018 Porsche Michelin GT3 Cup Challenge is this weekend in Adelaide and we wish Max and Sonic the best of luck!

There are six rounds, spanning from April to September 2018:

• Round 1: The Bend Motorsport Park, Adelaide, SA – April 13 -15 • Round 2: Sandown Raceway, VIC – May 11-13 • Round 3: Phillip Island, VIC – June 01-03 • Round 4: Queensland Raceway, Ipswich QLD – July 27-29 • Round 5: Winton Motor Raceway, Winton VIC – August 31 – 02 Sept • Round 6: Sydney Motorsport Park, Sydney NSW – September 21 -22
