Run-flat tyres let you keep driving after a puncture, so you can reach a safe stop instead of changing a wheel beside traffic. We list 445 run-flat sizes from $218, mostly for 18, 19 and 20-inch wheels on European sedans and SUVs.
Is your car on run-flats?
- Sidewall code. Look for RFT on Bridgestone, ZP on Michelin, SSR on Continental, r-f on Pirelli, ZPS on Yokohama, HRS on Hankook or ROF on Goodyear and Dunlop. Our product titles use RF.
- The boot. Cars built around run-flats often carry no spare, just an inflator kit or an empty well.
- Approval mark. A star means BMW approved, and MOE marks a Mercedes-Benz approved run-flat. We list 149 BMW and 48 Mercedes-Benz approved sizes.
Which run-flat suits your driving
- Pirelli P Zero (PZ4) is the most widely listed run-flat here. Pick it for sharp steering on performance sedans and coupes.
- Pirelli Cinturato P7 puts comfort first for daily driving and long trips.
- Bridgestone Turanza T005 is a quiet touring run-flat for family sedans and wagons.
- Bridgestone Potenza S001 adds grip for drivers who want a sportier feel.
- Michelin Primacy 3 and Continental ContiSportContact 5 round out the approved choices with good size coverage.
Before you buy
- Fit run-flats on all four wheels. Mixing run-flat and conventional tyres on one axle upsets the handling.
- Replace XL with XL. More than half of these sizes are extra load.
- Order each axle separately on staggered cars, which run wider tyres at the rear.
- Keep the pressure monitoring system working. A deflated run-flat looks almost normal, so the dash warning is your only alert.
After a puncture
Most makers quote up to 80 km at 80 km/h with no air. Your handbook sets the real limit, and a heavy load or a hot day cuts it short. Have the tyre inspected before any repair, because many makers rule out repairs after running flat.
Every price covers fitting, balancing, tubeless valves, disposal of the old tyres and GST. Your local Bob Jane T-Marts store can confirm what your car needs.
Common questions
Can I switch to conventional tyres?
Often, yes, but you then need a spare or a repair kit. Check first, because some cars have no space for a spare.

Why do run-flats ride firmer?
The stiff sidewall that carries the car when flat also passes more bumps through. Current designs ride more softly than early run-flats.
