What changed from the EP850

Bridgestone developed the H/L 001 as an evolution of the EP850, with improvements to wear life, wet performance and comfort. It keeps the Ecopia focus on lower fuel use through Bridgestone's Nano Pro-Tech compound, which the company credits with both fuel-saving ability and longer wear. For SUV owners, that combination suits the long distances many Australian families cover.

Braking and handling details

A round rib edge and chamfered sipes are designed to improve braking, especially in the wet. Bridgestone also optimised the contact patch so the tyre meets the road evenly, which it says improves handling and promotes even wear across the tread. It is a tyre aimed at predictable, secure road manners rather than sporty response.

A quieter cabin on long drives

A reinforced sidewall helps the H/L 001 deliver ride comfort and low road noise, making it a sound fit among our highway tyres for SUVs. The range spans 25 sizes from 215/65R16 to 265/65R17 and 19-inch fitments such as 235/55R19, and five sizes are extra load (XL).
