DWC sticks to smaller diameters, with 110 wheels from 13 to 17 inches starting from $173. It suits 4x4 owners who want more tyre sidewall and a softer ride.

Why smaller wheels still make sense

  • Comfort: a taller sidewall cushions corrugations and potholes.
  • Protection: more rubber between the rim and rocks means fewer dented wheels.
  • Airing down: you can lower pressures further on sand.
  • Cost: tyres in 16 and 17 inches tend to cost less than low-profile ones.

Pair a DWC wheel with an all-terrain tyre for a capable touring setup.

DWC styles

  • Legend: the most widely stocked DWC design. Its polished finish stands out, and it also comes in black and satin black.
  • Sentinel: gloss black, hyper silver machined, brushed dark tint or bronze.
  • Convict: hyper silver with a black lip, gunmetal, bronze or black.
  • Devil, Lockup and DWC79: more choices in black and machined finishes.

Fitments

Most DWC wheels are 6x139.7 or 5x150, which suit utes and the LandCruiser. There are smaller numbers in 6x114.3, 5x114.3, 5x108, 5x120 and 5x127, plus a few 8x170.

Most are 17 or 16-inch. Browse 16-inch and 15-inch wheels for more small-diameter choices.

Before you buy

  • Check that a smaller wheel clears your brakes. Some newer utes need at least a 16 or 17.
  • Polished wheels need regular cleaning to stay bright.
  • Confirm the load rating if you tour fully loaded.
  • Choose a tyre size that keeps the overall diameter close to factory.

Choosing a DWC finish

The polished Legend is the brightest wheel in the range and suits classic-styled 4x4s. Satin black Legend and Sentinel versions hide dust on working vehicles.

Bronze Sentinel and Convict options suit white and silver utes.

Older 4x4s and classic looks

Smaller diameters suit older LandCruisers, Patrols and HiLuxes that left the factory on 15 or 16-inch wheels. They also suit owners chasing a period look.

Common questions

Will a 15-inch wheel fit my new ute?

Often not. Larger brakes on many current utes need a 16 or 17-inch wheel, so ask for a check.

Do DWC wheels suit a LandCruiser 200?

Some do, in 5x150. Check brake clearance, because the 200 Series needs a larger diameter than older models.

How do I keep a polished wheel bright?

Wash it often and use a metal polish made for wheels. Road salt and red dust dull a polished finish quickly.
