Ford Everest tyres run from 17-inch to 21-inch rims, and the load index matters here as much as the size. A heavy load asks more of each tyre, so a replacement that falls short on rating is not an option.

Tyre Sizes That Fit This Collection

Factory sizes are listed below from 255/70R17 up to 275/45R21, with the tallest sidewalls at the top of the list.

Read the load index and speed rating on your sidewall and check them against the placard. Several sizes are close in width, such as 265/60R18 and 255/65R18, so check every digit. If a marking is unclear, visit your local Bob Jane T-Marts store.

Road tyres or all-terrain tread

The 17 and 18-inch sizes have tall walls that cope well with corrugations and gravel. The 20 and 21-inch sizes have shorter walls, which tighten steering response but leave less protection against sharp edges.

On sealed roads, highway tyres run quietest and wear evenly. Where you also drive on gravel, all-terrain tyres add grip on loose surfaces, at some cost in noise and tread life.

Load, pressure and the spare

If you carry heavy loads, read the placard notes, since some list a higher pressure for a full load. Check pressures cold and adjust only when the tyres are loaded as the placard describes.

Fit all four tyres to one size and tread pattern, and keep the spare matched too. Check the spare date code and pressure each time you check the others.

After a run over gravel or corrugations, check pressures again and run a hand over the tread blocks. Small cuts near the shoulder are easier to catch early than after a puncture.
