Geely EX5 tyres come in three sizes across 18, 19 and 20-inch wheels, which keeps the choice simple. The gap between them is mainly sidewall height, and with it comfort and price.
Tyre Sizes That Fit This Collection
Two factory sizes and one optional size are listed below, from 225/55R18 up to 235/45R20.
- 235/50R19 tyres: factory fitment, 2025 onwards
- 225/55R18 tyres: factory fitment, 2025 onwards

Use the door-jamb placard for the original size, then check the sidewall for the load index and speed rating. Since there are only three options, a quick read usually settles it. A Bob Jane T-Marts store near you can confirm in minutes.
Which of the three sizes to pick
The 225/55R18 has the tallest sidewall, so it gives the softest ride and the lowest price. The 235/50R19 sits in the middle. The 235/45R20 is the slimmest in profile, the firmest over joins and the quickest to pick up kerb damage.
Compare everyday driving tyres for a balance of grip and wear, or tyres labelled for EVs if rolling resistance matters more to you.
Wet grip is the first label rating to read. Noise and rolling resistance come next, but a tyre that stops shorter in the rain is worth a small premium on any of the three sizes.
Tread depth and the legal limit
The legal minimum tread depth in Australia is 1.5mm across the main grooves. Wet grip fades before that point, so many drivers replace earlier. Use the wear bars moulded into the grooves as a quick guide.
When only two tyres are new, fit them on the rear axle where possible, and keep pressures at the placard figure. Two different brands on one axle can behave differently, so fit a matching pair.
