EX5 Complete and Inspire do not share the same tyre search
“Geely EX5 tyres” is not a single factory specification. The Geely EX5 Specification Guide separates the two grades: Complete has 18-inch alloy wheels with 225/55 tyres, while Inspire has 19-inch alloy wheels with 235/50 tyres. CarExpert’s current Australian 2026 Complete record also shows 225/55 R18 front and rear. That makes grade the first search filter. A 19-inch Inspire result should not be treated as an upgrade path for a Complete, and an 18-inch result is not proof for every EX5. The two sizes differ in width, sidewall profile and rim diameter. The 18-to-19-inch change also adds 10 mm of tyre width, so a rim-diameter filter alone is not enough.
- EX5 Complete: 225/55 R18 on 18-inch alloys
- EX5 Inspire: 235/50 R19 on 19-inch alloys
- Both: confirm the placard’s full rating before ordering
Published EX5 ground clearance changes by grade, not by a tyre-shop shortcut
Geely’s guide lists 148 mm of ground clearance for Complete and 168 mm for Inspire. Those are model-grade specifications, not permission to select a taller or different-profile tyre to mimic another variant. The wheel size, tyre profile, suspension and approval all matter together. If you own a Complete, stay with its confirmed 225/55 R18 specification unless a qualified professional has assessed a lawful alternative for your exact vehicle. The same caution applies to Inspire owners considering a move down to 18 inches.
Individual TPMS readings give EX5 owners a pressure clue after fitting
The EX5 guide says tyre-pressure monitoring can show individual measurements through the instrument cluster and phone app. That is useful after a replacement or puncture, but it does not replace the cold-pressure value on the placard. Check the pressure when tyres are cold, and investigate a persistent warning, vibration, pull or uneven wear before assuming the new tyre is the cause. The guide also lists a tyre repair kit, so check the equipment in your own vehicle before a long trip rather than expecting a spare wheel.
Geely EX5 grade and pressure questions
What tyre size is shown for EX5 Complete?
The manufacturer guide lists 225/55 tyres on 18-inch alloys for Complete; current Australian 2026 data records 225/55 R18 front and rear. Confirm the sidewall and placard on your car.
Does EX5 Inspire use 19-inch tyres?
Yes. The EX5 guide lists Inspire with 19-inch alloy wheels and 235/50 tyres. Do not use that size for a Complete merely because the model name matches.
Does the EX5 guide list a spare tyre?
It lists a tyre repair kit. Check what is supplied with your own EX5, then use the Bob Jane rego or vehicle lookup to narrow the product grid and the tyre-size filter to cross-check the complete sidewall size.
