The Kumho Ecsta PA51 is an asymmetric performance tyre for sporty sedans, hatches and coupes, made to pair sharp handling with a ride that stays settled on the daily commute. As an ultra-high-performance all-season design, it is built to keep working in cool, wet weather, not just on warm, dry days. Grip that holds through the corners

A reinforced outside shoulder and circumferential rib stop the tread blocks squirming when you turn in hard. Underneath, two wide steel belts and a nylon cap ply help steering response and stability at highway speed. The compound blends high-grip resins for dry traction with plenty of silica for wet-road grip.

Built for rain and quieter cruising

Four wide circumferential grooves and open shoulder slots move water out from under the tyre, while sipes that run the full depth of the tread keep adding biting edges as it wears. Kumho also varies the spacing of the tread blocks to break up road noise on long drives. A zig-zag inner groove gives some grip in light snow for winter trips to the high country, although the PA51 is not a dedicated winter tyre.
