MG ZS tyres are listed in eight sizes across 16, 17, 18 and 19-inch rims. Five are factory sizes and three are optional, and one optional size carries an XL load rating.

Tyre Sizes That Fit This Collection

Factory sizes begin with 215/50R18, 215/50R17 and 215/55R17, followed by the 16-inch size and optional sizes.

215/50R18 tyres: factory fitment, 2017 onwards

On the MG ZS, the door-jamb placard lists the original size, and the sidewall repeats it with the load index and speed rating. Everyday comfort and value

The 215/60R16 has the tallest wall and the softest ride, and it costs the least. The 235/40R19 XL is the lowest and widest and carries a higher load rating for its size.

On the MG ZS, for daily use, browse everyday driving tyres and compare wet grip. To reduce fuel use, eco-friendly tyres have lower rolling resistance.

Pressure and tread care

Check pressures cold once a month. A tyre running a few PSI low wears the shoulders and uses more fuel.

Measure the tread across the full width, and read the date code on each tyre. Rotation every 10,000km or so evens out wear.

For the MG ZS, replace in pairs or full sets with the same size and tread pattern.

Budget and mid-priced tyres suit most daily driving, but wet grip varies more between brands than the price suggests, so compare the label rating before you buy.

On the MG ZS, a fitter can also check the valves and rim edges while the old tyres are off, which is an easy way to prevent slow leaks later.
