Polestar 3 tyres are listed as staggered pairs on 20, 21 and 22-inch wheels, with the rear a size wider than the front. Large staggered sets cost a lot, so it helps to know which axle needs what.

Tyre Sizes That Fit This Collection

Each line below gives the front size first and the rear size second, from 255/50R20 and 285/45R20 up to 265/40R22 and 295/35R22.

The placard shows both axle sizes, and the sidewall shows the load index and speed rating of each tyre. A front tyre will not fit at the rear. For a quote before you order, find a store near you.

Pricing a staggered set of large tyres

The 20-inch pair has the tallest walls and the lowest price. The 22-inch pair has the shortest walls, the highest price and the most exposure to kerb damage. Price one axle before pricing four tyres.

For the wide rears, compare sport and performance tyres with everyday options, and read noise ratings as well as grip.

XL rears and front-to-rear swaps

One option pairs a standard front with an XL rear. XL means extra load, so keep the XL tyre on the axle that needs it and do not swap it with a standard one.

Tyres cannot be rotated front to back on a staggered set. Measure each axle separately, since rear tyres often wear at a different rate from the front.

Wheel damage is the main risk on the 22-inch pair, because a wall that short leaves little cushion. Check the rim edges whenever tyres come off, and book a {WA} check after fitting to protect the new tyres.

Date codes matter too. Front and rear tyres are often replaced at different times, so write down both codes and revisit them each year.
