Toyota bZ4X tyres are listed in 18, 20 and 21-inch sizes, and two of the four are XL-rated. The 235/50R20 appears in both a standard and an XL build, so read the sidewall before ordering.
Tyre Sizes That Fit This Collection
Two factory sizes and two XL options appear below, from 235/60R18 up to 245/45R21.
- 235/50R20 tyres: factory fitment, 2024 onwards
- 235/60R18 tyres: factory fitment, 2025 onwards
- 235/50R20 XL tyres: also listed as a fit, 2024 onwards

Check your placard for the original size and the load index. A replacement should meet or beat that number, and for a size that exists in XL, the marking tells you which build you have. Bring any questions to a Bob Jane T-Marts store near you.
XL against standard in the 20-inch size
The XL tyre is reinforced for a higher load rating, so it is a different tyre from the standard one of the same size. It tends to cost a little more and it may ride more firmly.
For the 21-inch option, expect a much shorter wall than on the 18-inch, with more noise and more risk of rim damage. Tyres labelled for EVs, under EV tyres, are one more thing to compare.
Load index, pressure and tyre age
Take pressure readings cold, using the placard figure as your target. If you carry heavy loads regularly, read the placard notes, since some list a different figure.
Look at the four-digit date code on each tyre. Rubber ages whether or not it is used, so tread depth alone does not tell you everything about a tyre.
If you carry a full load often, ask the store about the load index on both XL and standard options. A higher index does not change the size, but it does change how much weight each tyre is rated to carry.
