Toyota C-HR tyres are listed in eight sizes across 17, 18, 19 and 20-inch rims. The factory sizes changed in the later years, so confirm your wheel size before comparing prices.
Tyre Sizes That Fit This Collection
Factory sizes begin with 225/45R19, 225/50R18, 215/60R17 and 225/50R19, followed by four optional sizes.
- 225/45R19 tyres: factory fitment, 2017–2024
- 225/50R18 tyres: factory fitment, 2017–2024
- 215/60R17 tyres: factory fitment, 2017 onwards
- 225/50R19 tyres: factory fitment, 2024 onwards
- 235/50R18 tyres: also listed as a fit, 2017–2024
- 235/45R20 tyres: also listed as a fit, 2024 onwards
- 225/60R17 tyres: also listed as a fit, 2017–2024
- 235/55R17 tyres: also listed as a fit, 2017–2024
The door-jamb placard lists the original size, and the sidewall repeats it with the load index and speed rating. Take care with 225/50R18 and 225/50R19, which differ only by rim diameter, and with 235/50R18, which is wider. On the Toyota C-HR, a Bob Jane T-Marts store near you can read it with you.
Ride comfort and handling
The 235/55R17 and 215/60R17 have the tallest walls and the softest ride. The 235/45R20 has the shortest wall, so it steers sharply but passes on more noise and bumps.
For daily driving, compare everyday driving tyres on wet grip and wear. If you like a sharper feel, sport and performance tyres are worth a look in the 18, 19 and 20-inch sizes.
Even wear and replacement
Check tyre pressures cold every month. A few PSI low shows up quickly as wear on both shoulders.
Look across the full tread, and read the date code on each tyre. Replacement in pairs or full sets keeps grip balanced.
Low-profile tyres are easier to scuff on kerbs, so glance over the sidewalls from time to time.
For the Toyota C-HR, tyre noise differs a lot between brands in the same size, so compare the noise rating on the label alongside wet grip. A fitter can also balance each wheel and check the valves while the old tyres are off, which prevents most vibrations and slow leaks.
Ask for the tread depth to be measured at each service.
If you are tyre shopping for more than one Toyota, the Toyota Granvia tyres page and the Toyota MR2 tyres page keep each list separate.
