An upgrade on the RY818

The RY55 follows Yokohama's Delivery Star RY818, and the company reports clear gains over it. Yokohama designed the RY55 for shorter stops on wet roads and lower rolling resistance, which helps reduce fuel use across a working week. The tread pattern and profile are both new, designed to improve how evenly the tyre presses on the road.

Made for working loads

Vans spend their lives stopping, starting and carrying weight, which can wear tyres unevenly. Yokohama uses deep shoulder grooves and a triple polymer compound to resist uneven wear and add durability, while a silica compound supports wet grip and efficiency.
