The Falken Wildpeak RT01 is a rugged-terrain tyre that sits between the AT4W all-terrain and the MT mud-terrain in Falken's 4WD range. Falken describes it as blending mud-terrain strength with all-terrain road comfort, making it a fit for lifted 4WDs, heavy-duty utes and touring rigs that mix remote tracks with long highway stretches. Where a rugged-terrain tyre fits

A rugged-terrain pattern is a middle ground. Its tread blocks are larger and more open than a typical all-terrain tyre, giving more bite in mud, ruts and broken rock, yet the layout is calmer than a full mud-terrain on sealed roads. Falken says the RT01 is louder than the AT4W but quieter than a mud-terrain, and its tread pattern is optimised to cut road noise and improve ride comfort.

Construction for weight and rocks

Every RT01 size is light truck (LT) construction, with load indexes from 121 to 129 across the range. Selected sizes use the same DURASPEC three-ply sidewall as the Wildpeak MT, while upper sidewall lugs and stone ejectors help with grip and keep the grooves clear. That combination suits vehicles with a GVM upgrade, a loaded canopy or a caravan on the hitch.

From 265/75R16 to 35-inch

The range covers tall 16 and 17-inch fitments such as 285/75R16 and 315/70R17, plus 18 and 20-inch sizes like 275/65R18, 295/65R20 and 305/55R20 for late-model wagons and utes on larger wheels.
