LDV D90 tyres are listed in three sizes, across 18, 19 and 20-inch rims. A short list makes the choice simple, but all three are wide, heavy-duty sizes, so load index and pressure deserve attention.
Tyre Sizes That Fit This Collection
Two factory sizes come first below, 255/55R19 and 255/60R18, followed by one optional size, 265/50R20.
- 255/55R19 tyres: factory fitment, 2017 onwards
- 255/60R18 tyres: factory fitment, 2019 onwards
- 265/50R20 tyres: also listed as a fit, 2017 onwards
On the LDV D90, check the placard in the door jamb, then read the sidewall for the size, load index and speed rating. All three sizes are close in width, so it is the number after the R that tells you which wheel you have. If you are unsure, find a store near you and a fitter will read the sidewall with you.
Taller walls or bigger wheels
The 255/60R18 has the tallest wall of the three and cushions bumps best. The 265/50R20 is the lowest and widest, with sharper steering and a firmer ride, and it sits at the top of the price range.
For daily running and long freeway trips, highway tyres wear evenly and run quietly. If you also drive gravel, all-terrain tyres add grip and cut resistance.
Heavy loads and pressures
Large tyres carry a lot of weight, so keep pressures to the placard and use the higher loaded figure when you carry a full load. Check them cold, because a warm tyre reads higher.
Rotate every 10,000km or so to even out wear, and replace in pairs or as a set. Read the date code on each tyre as well, since rubber ages even when the tread looks fine.
A balanced wheel matters on tyres this size, so ask for balancing on every tyre you fit.
Fitment is checked model by model. The LDV Deliver 9 tyres page and the LDV T60 tyres page cover other LDV models, each with its own size list.
FAQs
What size tyres does a LDV D90 take?
Factory sizes listed are 255/55R19 and 255/60R18, with 265/50R20 as an option. Check your placard for yours.
How much do LDV D90 tyres cost?
LDV D90 tyres start at $219 and go up to $639 each. Each price covers fitting, balancing, tubeless valves, GST and the disposal of the old tyres.
Why is the load index important?
It shows how much weight each tyre can safely carry. A replacement must meet or exceed the placard figure, and that is especially important with heavy loads.
