An everyday T-Roc and a T-Roc R ask very different things of their tyres, so start by confirming which version you drive. Then match the speed rating, size and grip level to how you use the car.
Which tyre suits your T-Roc
- Everyday T-Roc. A European touring tyre from our everyday driving range gives comfort and wet-weather grip. Continental and Michelin suit Volkswagen's chassis tuning.
- T-Roc R. It puts much more power down through all four wheels. Browse sport and performance tyres, including Pirelli.
- Mostly city driving. A tyre with a slightly taller sidewall, if your placard allows, better resists pothole damage.
- Long trips. A quiet touring tyre helps on country highways, where road noise is most noticeable.
Before you buy
- Speed rating. The R needs a high rating. Never fit a lower one than the placard shows.
- All-wheel drive. 4MOTION versions need four tyres close in tread depth.
- Wheel size. T-Roc versions use different wheel diameters, so check your own car.
- Low-profile care. Larger wheels mean thinner sidewalls that bruise more easily on potholes.
Finding the right size
Find the size on the sidewall or on the placard in the driver's door opening. A rego search shows tyres that fit your T-Roc.
If your T-Roc has optional larger wheels, its size will differ from the base car.
Keeping T-Roc tyres in shape
- Check pressures monthly, because low-profile tyres show under-inflation less clearly.
- Slow down over potholes and speed humps to protect rims and sidewalls.
- Rotate at each service where front and rear sizes match.
- Have the alignment checked after any heavy pothole strike.
When to replace T-Roc tyres
- Replace before the wear bars, and sooner on the R if you drive it hard.
- A sidewall bulge, which low-profile tyres can pick up from one pothole, means immediate replacement.
T-Roc owners pay one price for the tyre, with fitting, balancing, tubeless valves, old-tyre disposal and GST included. Your local Bob Jane T-Marts can confirm the speed rating your T-Roc needs.

Common questions
Does the T-Roc R need performance tyres?
It needs tyres that meet its speed rating and suit its power. In practice that means a performance tyre in the placard size.
Why do low-profile tyres damage easily?
There is less sidewall to absorb a hit, so potholes reach the rim sooner. Keeping pressures correct gives the best protection.
Should I replace T-Roc tyres in pairs?
Yes, at least per axle. On 4MOTION cars, keeping all four close in wear is better still.
