Made for serious off-road conditions, from boggy forest tracks to rocky climbs, Yokohama's Geolandar M/T G003 is built as a mud-terrain option for 4WDs and utes. Yokohama designed it for drivers who head well beyond gravel roads and need a tough casing as much as traction. GEO-SHIELD casing construction
Yokohama builds the G003 with its GEO-SHIELD technology: a full nylon cap, multiple sidewall plies, steel belts and a turn-up carcass. The aim is reliable protection against cuts and impacts when the tyre is aired down over sharp rock or pushed through ruts. The sidewall itself carries extra tread detail for added traction and durability when the tyre flexes at low pressure.
Keeping the grooves clear in mud
An aggressive block pattern provides the off-road traction, and mud and stone ejectors sit in the grooves to stop stones drilling into the casing and to help the tread clean itself out as it turns. Optimised lug grooves add grip and help wet-road traction.
Compound and wear
A high-density triple polymer compound is designed for wear resistance, and a wide, flat profile spreads stress evenly across the tread to promote longer, more even wear. The G003 range suits:
- Dual-cab utes and 4WD wagons used for remote touring and technical tracks
- Lifted 4WDs running flotation sizes such as 33x12.5 or 35x12.5
- Older and work-spec 4WDs on 15-inch and 16-inch wheels
