Yokohama's Geolandar X-MT G005 is an extreme mud-terrain tyre that Yokohama designed for hardcore mud and rock-crawling 4WDs. It suits heavily modified and dedicated off-road vehicles whose owners put traction and casing strength well ahead of road refinement. Find all the X-MT G005 sizes on offer on our website, from 16-inch to 20-inch, covering 35-inch, 37-inch and 40-inch flotation sizes plus a traditional 7.50R16.

A casing built for rock crawling

Yokohama uses its patented GEO-SHIELD construction in the X-MT, combining a full nylon cover, multiple sidewall plies and extra-thick sidewall protection. Crawling over ledges at low pressure puts huge strain on the sidewall, and this build is aimed at resisting cuts and punctures when the tyre is flexed and scraped against rock. A triple polymer compound is designed to resist cutting and chipping while supporting off-road traction.

Tread that wraps onto the sidewall

The block pattern is deliberately aggressive, built for crawling grip and self-cleaning so mud does not pack the grooves. The tread design extends down onto the sidewall, giving extra bite when the tyre is aired down in ruts or pressed against rock walls. Optimised lug grooves add off-road traction and help braking on wet roads, and a wide, flat profile spreads stress evenly across the tread for longer wear.
