American Racing is the place to start if you want a classic Torq Thrust on a muscle car, hot rod or restomod. We list 586 wheels from $157, with tougher Baja and Outlaw designs for utes and trucks too.
Choosing your Torq Thrust
- VN515 Torq Thrust II: polished, and the most widely stocked style here.
- VN215 Classic Torq Thrust II: mag gray with a machined lip, for a period-correct look.
- VN615 Torq Thrust II: full chrome for maximum shine.
- AR105 Torq Thrust M and AR605: the classic shape in larger diameters, in anthracite, gloss black or chrome.
- VN105 Torq Thrust D and VN309 TT O: vintage designs for older builds.
Designs for utes, 4x4s and trucks
The AR172 Baja, AR62 Outlaw II and AR23 suit utes, 4x4s and pickups. The AR893 Mainline adds a gloss black or chrome look in bigger sizes. About 30 wheels here are 4x4 fitments, and you will find more under 4x4 wheels.
Bolt patterns at a glance
- 5x120.65 (often called 5x4.75): classic GM cars.
- 5x127: older American trucks and Jeeps.
- 5x115: later Chrysler and Dodge models, such as the Chrysler 300.
- 5x114.3: many Australian, Japanese and Korean cars, including the Falcon.
If your car is not listed, measure across the studs or check your old wheel before ordering.
Most wheels are 15, 16 or 17 inches, with 18, 20 and 22-inch options. Classic sizes are easiest to compare in our 15-inch and 17-inch wheel ranges.
Before you buy
- Some Torq Thrusts are very wide with deep offsets. Measure guard and brake clearance first.
- Older cars often have hub bores that differ from modern ones, so confirm the centre bore or plan for hub rings.
- Check which wheel nuts the wheel needs. Aftermarket wheels can use a different seat from your factory nuts.
- Want a wider rear for a muscle-car stance? Order the front and rear sizes separately.
- On a ute or truck, compare the wheel's load rating with what you carry or tow.
Common questions
Which Torq Thrust should I choose?
Choose the VN515 or VN615 for a bright, polished look. Pick the VN215 for the original grey-and-machined style, or the AR105 for the classic shape in 18 or 20 inches.
What else suits a classic car?
Look at U.S. Mags and Foose, or the wider Wheel Pros range. Bring the car to your nearest Bob Jane T-Marts and the team can measure up.
Will a Torq Thrust clear modern brakes?
Often, in 17 inches and up. Smaller 15-inch classics may not clear larger modern calipers, so check before ordering.
