Fairway Alloys has one wheel listed: the FA140 Flex, a 14x6.5 gloss black wheel for golf and utility carts, at $150. It's a light-duty wheel, not one for road cars or trailers.
FA140 Flex at a glance
- Size: 14x6.5 inches.
- Bolt pattern: 4x101.6, a common golf cart pattern.
- Offset: -20.
- Load rating: 340 kg per wheel.
- Finish: gloss black.
Who it suits
The 4x101.6 pattern and 340 kg rating point to golf carts and small utility carts. That rating is far lower than a road car wheel, so it must not be fitted to a passenger car or road trailer.
Many cart owners upgrade to 14-inch wheels for a sharper look and a wider choice of low-profile cart tyres.
Before you buy
- Bolt pattern. Measure your current wheel or check your cart's manual. Not every cart uses 4x101.6.
- Offset. The -20 offset pushes the wheel out. Check it clears the body and doesn't rub on full lock.
- Lifted or standard cart. Larger wheels and tyres may need a lift kit to clear the body.
- Tyres. Choose cart tyres made for a 14-inch rim and the surface you drive on.
- Wheel nuts. Make sure the nuts suit the wheel seat.
Cart tyre sizing
Golf cart tyres use their own size format, such as 205/30-14. The first number is the width in millimetres and the last is the rim diameter.
- Low-profile tyres: suit standard carts on 14-inch wheels and smooth paths.
- All-terrain tyres: suit carts used on grass, gravel or farm tracks, and often need a lift kit.
- Load rating: make sure the tyre's load suits your cart, especially with passengers or cargo.
Some carts need longer wheel studs when moving from steel to alloy wheels. Check the stud length before fitting.
Common questions
Will the FA140 fit my golf cart?
It will if your cart uses the 4x101.6 pattern and has room for a 14-inch wheel and tyre. Check the offset clearance too.
Can I use it on a trailer?
No. At 340 kg, the rating is too low for road trailers. See our 13-inch wheels for trailer options instead.
Do I need new wheel nuts?
Possibly. Check that your cart's nuts suit the wheel's seat. If in doubt, fit nuts made for the FA140 so the wheel stays tight.
