Mayhem wheels suit utes, 4x4s and full-size pickups, and the range includes true dually wheels for dual-rear-wheel trucks. There are 29 listings from $379, half of them 20-inch, with 17, 18 and 22-inch sizes too.

Styles in the range

  • Cyclone: gloss black and the most widely stocked design here.
  • Convoy: satin black or silver machined.

Dually and heavy-duty fitments

The Cogent Dually is a polished 17x6.5 wheel in 8x165.1 and 8x200 patterns. Dually wheels come as fronts and rears, so check which position each listing is for before you order.

  • 6x139.7: dual-cab utes such as the HiLux, Ranger and D-MAX.
  • 5x150: LandCruiser 200 and later 70 Series wagons.
  • 6x114.3: Nissan Navara D40 and NP300.
  • 12x135-139.7: dual-drilled to suit two patterns, including the Ford F-150.
  • 8x170 and 8x180: heavy-duty pickups.

Before you buy

  • Load rating. Ratings run from 1,134 to 1,814 kg. Match the rating to how much your truck carries or tows.
  • Offset. Mayhem offsets range from deep negative to strongly positive. Read each listing, because two wheels of the same size can sit very differently.
  • Tyre profile. A 20 or 22-inch wheel needs a lower-profile tyre to keep the overall diameter. Expect a firmer ride on rough roads.
  • Dually spacing. On a dual-rear-wheel truck, the inner and outer wheels need the right spacing so the tyres don't touch.

Living with big truck wheels

  • Re-check the nuts. Have the wheel nuts re-torqued after the first 100 km or so, as new wheels can settle.
  • Match dual tyres. Tyres paired on a dually should be the same size and similar wear, so they share the load evenly.
  • Valve access. On dually wheels, make sure you can reach the inner valve to check pressures.
  • Spare wheel. A new wheel size may not match your factory spare. Plan for it before a long trip.

Common questions

What is a dually wheel?

It's a wheel made for trucks with two wheels on each side of the rear axle. The front and rear wheels are shaped differently, so they are not interchangeable.

Are Mayhem wheels suitable for a ute?

Yes. The 6x139.7 and 5x150 fitments suit dual-cab utes and LandCruisers. Check the load rating if you run a canopy or tow.
