American Outlaw is a compact range of 34 ute and 4x4 wheels from $330, mostly in 6x139.7 for the Ranger, HiLux, D-MAX and Triton. Load ratings run from 1,250 to 1,650 kg per wheel.

Styles in the range

Capone: the most variations here, in satin black, gloss black with a tinted face, or satin black machined.
Locker: satin black, or machined with a black lip.
Spike and Spike-R: sharper, spiked styling.
Cord, Railcar 6, Sidewinder and Gunslinger: complete the range.

Most styles come in only a few sizes. Pick your fitment first, then choose from the designs available in it.

Sizes and strength

Wheels come in 17, 18 and 20 inches, plus one 16-inch fitment. Ratings of 1,250 to 1,650 kg suit utes that carry gear and tow. The 20-inch option suits bitumen-focused utes.

Beyond 6x139.7, there are a few in 5x150, 6x114.3 and 6x130.

Before you buy

Check the exact load rating on the product. It varies by style and size.
Confirm your offset so the tyre clears the suspension at full lock.
Compare your loaded weight against both the wheel and tyre ratings.
With a small range, check stock in your size before you set your heart on a style.

Which design suits your ute

The Capone is the easiest to find in your size, with three finishes. The Locker's machined face and black lip add contrast on dark utes.

Spike-R suits owners who want a sharper, more aggressive look.

Reading the load rating

A wheel rated at 1,250 kg suits many standard dual-cabs. Utes with heavy canopies, drawers or caravans benefit from the 1,500 to 1,650 kg fitments.

Divide your heaviest axle load by two, then pick a wheel rated above that figure.
